Our favourite family friendly hotels in London with a swimming pool
Table of Contents
Successful family holidays are all about finding the right balance, a happy mix of sightseeing and time out. This is particularly true when visiting a big city like London.
The UK capital is an exciting city to discover with kids and there is so much to do but it’s also a big city and children – especially younger kids – will quickly tire of iconic landmarks if no downtime has been factored into the family schedule.
This is where a pool comes in handy!
If your kids are anything like mine then they will love some time out splashing about in a hotel pool – no matter the weather. Take a look at our top picks below and see which one suits your family best.

The Langham
Located just off one of the most famous streets in London, The Langham is one of the city’s best hotels.
This is a truly elegant hotel and one that’s been looking after customers for more than a hundred years – The Langham first opened in 1865 and was named after Sir James Langham, whose mansion was on the original site in central London.
The hotel’s Family Rooms overlook Regent’s Street and come with two Queen beds and a sofa bed (they’re happy to add an extra bed upon request) and can fit up to two adults and three children – one of the rare central London hotels that can sleep a family of five.
The Langham also has a dedicated Children’s Programme that includes fun activities such as baking classes, fun kids’ amenities, an activity book that encourages kids to explore the historic hotel and more – including 50% off in the hotel restaurants for guests aged 12 and under as well as a fun afternoon tea.
The Swimming Pool at The Langham: If you still have time after all that then there’s a 16m-long swimming pool to enjoy. Guests under 16 years old are welcome in the pool before from 8am to 12pm and from 4pm to 6pm. They must be accompanied by an adult.
